Can you import > edit (fade out) => save a FLAC file with no decode/encode for no sound quality loss?

On the official page, it's listed that the software supports the FLAC file format. Therefore, as long as FLAC is supported, you can edit it and apply the needed effects then save the file in its original form, without touching anything to processing/encoding in the settings page. Most of the apps allow you to save the file in the original quality.
It's not working. Every time, I try to download, it always comes up as Microsoft file.

On the official website, there is a link on the bottom of the page that gives you the download link to the Mac version of the software. I recommend downloading the application through the link posted below if you don't find it on the official website.
Can I apply a silence effect with this application without cutting the beginning?

Is switch.app part of the Wave Pad software? I have been using the free version for a long time now and it suits my purposes very well. A good pogram. I'm on iMac running Snow Leopard.
